Excited for the crosswalks across main street to not be 4 lanes wide. Ridiculous how wide that area is. Imagine having any mobility issues, watching an elderly person cross the rainbow walk is harrowing.

ITS AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE

A substitute for financial takeover is to train 2 GKs in the Academy for a season. Then u can sell them for 30 million or more.
What’s the best way to get to NYC?
Main Post:
I have a trip coming up and I know there isn’t a perfect option. Do you prefer to drive and somehow find parking, take a bus (if so which and from where?), Amtrak, or Metro North from New Haven (I heard someone suggest this once)? There’s so many options... help!

Amtrak straight from northampton with a beer from the cafe car and wifi/charger the whole way
Which city to move to?
Main Post:
Hi! We're a married couple in our 40s (no kids) looking to move to a small, medium or large city in New England. Our criteria:
A place with events and an arts scene. College towns are usually interesting.
Must have public transport to a major airport for regular flights across the atlantic - ideally under 3 hours to the airport.
Not ruinously expensive to buy a house (edit: townhouse or condo also fine) - ideally under 350k for a 2+bed 1.5+bath place (which rules out Boston).
Edit: we currently own a property, and are looking to sell it and buy a different one.
We both work remotely so proximity to jobs is not a big concern.
Top on our list are New Haven, CT and Providence, RI. Houses in Providence are quite a bit more expensive than New Haven - is that just because of proximity to Boston or does it have other pluses?
Anywhere else that should be high on our list?
Edit: we currently live in New England, and have visited New Haven, Providence, and other places.
Edit: we're not currently considering towns. Cities only. I am a city rat.
Edit: people saying 350k is impossible anywhere in New England - there are listings under 350k right now in Providence, New Haven, and other places. It's easy to verify.

You'll have a difficult time finding a house in the city you've described for the price range you're looking for.
New Haven is relatively inexpensive compared to other New England cities because it has a reputation of being an unsafe place to live. Crime rates have dropped compared to like, the 80s/90s but it still ranks higher than the national average and most other New England cities for violent crime rates.

Providence has had inexpensive housing and high crime rates historically as well but has been experiencing gentrification as people are priced out of Boston. (But so have all the other cities that fit the criteria within 2 hours of the city).
Edit: I see there has been an update to the post that OP is fine with a condo or townhome, which is more doable in a wider range of cities/neighborhoods than if they were looking for a single family home.
A town near where I grew up :)
